Cyclist Picks Up Stray Puppy on Trip and Rides Over 9,941 Miles Together

A young cyclist was on a mission to cycle across China. What he did not expect was to find a furry companion along the way. While camping in the woods, the cyclist was shocked when we saw a tiny puppy stumbling towards him. It looked lost, and the young man’s heart immediately went out to the little creature.

A Stray Pup Appears in the Wilderness

The puppy seemed to have come from nowhere, wandering in a remote area where no one was around. The cyclist couldn’t help but wonder how it ended up there. Maybe it had been separated from its mother or abandoned. Either way, it was clear the puppy wouldn’t survive on its own out there.

A Tiny, Vulnerable Creature

The cyclist quickly bonded with the puppy, naming it Cola after its small size. That evening, he cooked up some hard-boiled eggs to feed the pup since he didn’t have any dog food or goat milk with him. Cola lapped up the water and gobbled down the eggs before curling up and falling fast asleep, safe for the first time in who knows how long.

A Lethargic Start to the Next Day

The following morning, Cola wasn’t as lively as the day before. The puppy seemed unusually tired, and the young man began to worry. Cola needed medical attention, and the cyclist knew he had to act fast. Without hesitation, he hopped on his bike, determined to reach the nearest veterinary clinic, which was almost 6 miles away.

Racing Against Time

Pedaling furiously, the cyclist sped down the trail at 18 miles per hour, not daring to stop even for a sip of water. He was focused on one thing—getting Cola the help he needed. With 3 miles left to go, his worry deepened, but he kept pushing forward, rushing toward town.

Seeking Help for Cola

Once they reached the town, the cyclist searched for a veterinary pharmacy, but the shop owner advised him to head to the pet hospital instead. Still anxious, he fed Cola some steamed buns and water. When Cola eagerly devoured the food, the cyclist felt a small sense of relief—at least the puppy’s appetite was strong.

A Vet Visit Brings Good News

Finally, they arrived at the pet hospital. The veterinarian gave Cola a thorough examination and found that the puppy was in good health, aside from being slightly underweight. The cyclist purchased some goat milk powder, and the shop owner kindly gifted him a pack of puppy food. Cola eagerly drank the goat milk, and with each passing moment, the young man saw his little friend’s spirit lift.

Cola Becomes Playful and Lively

As Cola regained his energy, he started becoming more playful and mischievous. The cyclist fashioned a small dog bed out of a lined bag, which Cola quickly made his own. Whenever they set off on their next ride, Cola would happily crawl into the bag, ready for their next adventure.

Growing Together on the Journey

Over time, Cola began growing bigger and stronger. The cyclist noticed that the once tiny puppy was starting to outgrow his bike basket. They made frequent stops during their journey, allowing Cola to stretch his legs and take bathroom breaks. Cola would even sometimes run alongside the cyclist, adjusting to the rhythm of life on the road.

A New Mode of Travel

As Cola grew, it became harder for the cyclist to continue carrying him in the bike basket. After traveling 9,941 miles together, the cyclist realized his bicycle could no longer bear Cola’s weight. Not ready to give up just yet, the cyclist upgraded his ride to a motorcycle, making it much easier to carry Cola so that they could continue their adventures.

Now, with windproof goggles on Cola to shield him from sand and wind, they travel together on the motorcycle, exploring countless beautiful landscapes across Tibet and China. Despite the challenges along the way, the young man never once considered abandoning Cola. Their bond only deepened, and their journey—like their story—will continue on and on.
