Home invasions are any homeowner’s worst nightmare, but imagine the intruder being a black bear! That’s exactly what happened to the family in this story. Luckily, their four-legged best friend came to the rescue!
The Incident
Black bears roam freely in many parts of the U.S., and so, it’s not uncommon for them to wander into human settlements. On this occasion, a black bear found themselves wandering around suburban Bradbury, California. Perhaps they’d heard about the good schools in the area?

A Brave Defender
Danger? This pup doesn’t know her! German shepherds are popular choices as police and military dogs for a reason – they are ruthlessly brave and will protect their territory and hoomans at all costs. In the video, a German shepherd chases the intruding black bear around the children’s play area as if they are playing tag, but the dog was not here for games.
