Dog Family Rescued From Bushes In Texas

This scared dog family was very lucky to have been rescued by Kristin!

Driving down a lonesome road in Texas, the rain playing its soft tune on the windshield, Kristin spotted movement in the bushes. Curiosity piqued, she pulled over and investigated, only to find an entire family seeking shelter from the elements.

Discovery in the Bushes

A mother dog and her puppies curled up together in the damp safety of the bushes – hoping to escape the rain. The mother’s longing and sense of defeat were evident in her eyes as the puppies carelessly ran around, oblivious to everything around them. Kristin knew she couldn’t look away as she begged for help from her with a look that said volumes.

A Tale of Elusive Survival

It wasn’t a chance encounter; the mama dog had been evading local animal control for over a year. Despite their persistent efforts she remained elusive, driven by fear to keep her family safe. At the sight of Kristin, she bolted, but fate had other plans. With cautious persistence, Kristin led her into safety, sealing her fate in a crate, a temporary haven from the harsh world outside.

A Journey to Safety

Guided by the compassionate hands of Forgotten Coast Animal Rescue, the family found refuge. The dog mom’s initial hesitance gave way to tentative trust as days passed. With each passing moment, her tail wagged a little more, a silent acknowledgment of the love and security she had found.

This momma dog and her 6 puppies are safe. Some of their eyes are just beginning to open so they’re barely 2 weeks old! Mom was skittish of people but she tried her best to keep them safe.
