How to Attract Birds to Your Backyard

Do you want different types of birds to come to your backyard? Here are a few tips:

  • Feeders: Different types of feeders for different birds – tube feeders for small birds, suet feeders for woodpeckers, and platform feeders for larger birds.
  • Water: A birdbath with fresh water is a must! Birds need to drink and bathe.
  • Plants: Native plants that produce berries and seeds attract local bird species. Flowers for nectar are great for hummingbirds!
  • Shelter: Trees, shrubs, and birdhouses provide shelter and nesting spots.
