Gorilla Trekking Tour

Gorilla Trekking Tours

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Have you ever wondered what it is like to stand next to a fully grown silverback gorilla with a weight of nearly 200 kg? Seeing these gentle giants in their natural habitat is one thing no one should miss. We collected everything you need to know about mountain gorilla trekking and safaris in Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Uganda, Rwanda & DRC

Central Africa fascinates and challenges at the same time. Especially as a self-driver you will come to your limits, depending on the season, as far as the road conditions are concerned. Whereby road is perhaps too high, slopes would be the appropriate term. I was fascinated by the country and the people. In Uganda, East African savannah meets West African jungle.

What our clients say about us

We actually booked our car rental very last minute - 10pm the night before leaving! The company had everything arranged for us on the following morning. Our driver, David, came to pick us up at our hostel. David was a safe and knowledgeable driver, and an excellent host, showing us plantations along the drive, and picking up fresh fruits along the way! We would highly recommend the company, and David as a driver!

The tour was 7 days and very interesting, all parts of the tour was so amazing and I loved my guide Richard from this inspire company. Thank you Richard for the Great advise you gave us to tracker the Bitukula Group. So amazing.. You're great.

Some more Travel inspiration...

It often comes second on a travel Bucket Lists to a traditional Big 5 animal game drive safari in Kruger or Serengeti National Park. Which makes sense – getting to the gorillas takes more effort, more time and more expense than a classic safari. However, you get something, that not many have seen before.

Gorillas are among the most endangered animal species of all. The reasons are the destruction of their habitats in Africa through deforestation and mining as well as the Ebola virus. In addition, poachers achieve high prices for gorilla meat.
