Hero Canoer Saves Dog Trapped Under A Log

Whilst canoeing a man found a dog stuck under a log. The dog had clearly been there a few days, covered in mud and unable to walk. The man stopped to save the dog’s life, even finding the owners and staying to ensure the pup’s safety.

Canoer’s Day Takes An Unexpected Turn

A man was canoeing across Canada when he heard the broken cries of a dog. The whines were faint and broken, sounding like the pup had been crying for help for a couple of days and losing his voice. The canoer found the dog trapped under a log and covered in mud. Heartbroken he realizes that this little girl must have been stuck there for a few days.

Fighting For Survival

The poor trapped baby was unable to move his back legs and lower body. He was scared and unable to move by himself, going limp after his rescuer removed the log. With a great struggle, the man managed to get the dog onto the front of the canoe, talking to the dog throughout the move in an attempt to calm him down. He wanted the dog to know that he was safe now. The canoer had noticed a house around 200 meters away. Wondering if the dog belonged to those owners he headed over there with the struggling pup.

A Warm Welcome Home

The man arrived at the door of the house owners, leaving the dog laying on the dock as he rushed for help. It turned out that the dog did belong to the house owners. They had been looking for their dog for the past few days. The pup’s owner rushed down to the dock with the man, tenderly welcoming his dog home. The men carried the dog back up to the house and began the mission of cleaning him up.

Rescued and Revived

The family was grateful and happy to have their dog back. She had been in the family for a long time, a 24-year-old Pyrenees. Thankful to the man for saving their dog and helping them clean her up, they offered him a bed for the night as it was getting late by the time they finished helping the dog. This heartwarming story gives us hope for humanity, knowing that there are people out there willing to help. We hope that this old girl is all healed up and back to living her best life.
