Many people witnessed a tiny puppy being hit by a car, and the driver speeding away. They helped the puppy onto the sidewalk, and not knowing how to help they left him there. Abandoned and severely injured, the little puppy watched people simply walk past him without batting an eye.
The Tiny Victim Of A Hit-and-Run
A couple of good samaritans heard the desperate cries of the puppy lying dead still on the ground. Unlike all of the others passing by, these individuals rushed to help. With tears in his eyes, the puppy was crying out for help. Seeing the tearful-eyed puppy the people’s hearts broke. They wrapped him up in a towel and rushed him to a vet.
Desperate Times Call For A Whole Lot Of Love
The hit-and-run driver who left the pup to die had caused serious damage. The vet did a full and intense investigation into the health of the tiny pup. The heartbroken pup had various injuries, it was a miracle he survived. His lungs and the blood vessels in his head had been damaged, along with a high fever and vomiting draining him of energy and causing dehydration. Without the quick action of his rescuers, this pup would not have survived.
A Long Road To Recovery
The little pup was slightly better after a few days of hospitalization and intense fluids. The little fighter had to have 24/7 care, given to him by the vets and his rescuers. Unable to walk and suffering from deep depression, the little furball spent most of his time in bed. With the wonderful and constant care he was being given, 7 days later he was able to stand up. He was able to leave the hospital.
Home Scary Home
The puppy’s rescuers were very attached to the little guy, so much so that they decided to keep him. Still afraid, withdrawn, and skeptical of people, the pup needed patience and love. This method was successful and the pup soon warmed up to his new home and family. 21 days later he was fully healed, wounds, weight, and all. The little pup was fully recovered and so was his heart. He now had the opportunity to have a wonderful and successful life filled with love and care. He never stopped showing his gratitude to his rescuers.
