Out on another adventure, Brody and Katie’s climb through the canyons took an unexpected turn. Hearing the howls of ‘coyotes’ they looked up and found that the sound was coming from 2 little dogs stuck on a ledge.
Cries Of The Canyons
Hearing the cries of the same coyotes that they heard the night before, Brody looked up. Seeing their little faces, he noticed that they were ‘funny-looking’ coyotes. They soon realized that these were not coyotes but rather 2 little dogs up on a ledge in the canyons. Calling for the owners they got no response so headed up to check it out.
Mission Rescue The Puppies
Climbing down more, Brody gets close enough to see the dogs. Quickly, he notices that they aren’t in great condition. They have probably been abandoned here for a few days. Upon first contact, the puppies are warm and excited to see him. It doesn’t take long for them to warm up to him and allow him to get them ready to safely descend.
Heading Down To Safety
With both puppies safely strapped onto him, Brody begins to descend. Arriving safely on the ground the pups are introduced to Bordy and Katies dog, Spaghetti. Katie loving names them Meatball and Parmesan. Bringing the puppies down to the car they happen to notice a ranger driving past. Traveling for a business trip they were unable to take the dogs with them. Heartbroken about having to leave them behind they find a shelter for the 2 dogs.
Find Their Forever Homes
Leaving the puppies was hard for them, but after their time together they were certain that these pups would find their forever home soon. A couple of weeks later they were sent an update, both dogs had been adopted and happily found their forever homes. This heartwarming story is a reminder that there are good people out there and that by doing a simple thing can save a dog’s life and give them the love and family that they deserve.
