During a visit to a zoo in Bali a tourist named Vitaly R. experienced a cool interaction with an orangutan – they played catch.

To his surprise, the orangutan plays catch with him by tossing a treat back and forth. 

A Playful Reciprocity

The video shows a cute game of catch between Vitaly and the orangutan.

Further, this back-and-forth exchange of treats is demonstrating the orangutan’s ability to engage in reciprocal social interactions. 

Such behavior is a testament to these primates’ complex mind abilities.

Insight into Orangutan Intelligence

Orangutans are among the most intelligent non-human primates. 

They possess great cognitive abilities. Such as memory, problem-solving, and complex tools.
