My first reaction hearing about this rescue kitten living on a boat was “Wait, cats and water don’t mix!” Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Join us in learning more about the adventures of this boat cat.
The Rescue
A couple who had been sailing and living on a boat came across this tiny kitten stranded in a bush in Greece. They saw her all by herself and decided to lure her out of the bushes.
Curious Kitty
The curious little kitten seemed interested in them, and the couple who had been considering getting a kitten decided to give her a new home. On a boat of all places!
Life On Board
This cat is living the dream! She gets to spend the whole day, every day, near her human parents. Her day typically starts with snuggles!
Boatlife
Followed by breakfast and then a quick check outside to see what other boats are close by. On a sailing day, she plays between the ropes on the boat while her humans get everything ready for the trip.
Safety First
All the sailors out there would know, it can get quite bumpy out on the water. But not to stress, this boat cat is kitted out with a safety harness to keep her safe while they sail. Her harness is tied to the boat to prevent her from falling off in the worst-case scenario. Adventure is cool, but safety is cooler!
Setting Sail
Once the family boat starts moving, this cat can carry out her favorite activity. Napping! And nothing bothers her – not the wind, the music, or even the flapping sails. As long as she can nap close to her human parents, she is happy!
Adventure, Adventure and More Adventure
Not only did this kitten go from a life on land to a life at sea, but she also sees the most incredible places! They often stop at beautiful destinations and beaches where she can run around, play, and climb trees. Which is the only activity she loves more than her naps!
Life on Board
If you are considering taking your pet onboard with you, it is important to remember their safety as this couple does. Better safe than risking any harm to your beloved pet.
