This man has made the (seemingly) impossible possible – he trains alligators to become cuddle buddies.
Understanding the Gator Guy
The guy behind the viral sensation is not your average zoo worker. He works with alligators who are caught from the wild and somehow turns them into what seems like a friendly pet.
These creatures have not been raised in captivity, nor have they been conditioned to interact with humans through feeding or other means – it’s all done through his training. This raises the question: how does he manage to interact with these predators without becoming prey?

The Art of Training
Training alligators, or any wild animal for that matter, is no small feat. It requires patience and massive respect for the animal’s natural behaviors.
Allegedly, he doesn’t use food for motivation, nor does he sedate the animals to make them more manageable. Instead, he employs techniques based on trust and mutual respect, a method that has baffled viewers worldwide – including myself.
What Makes Alligators So Dangerous
It is not for nothing that alligators are titled one of the world’s most dangerous predators.
Their powerful jaws can exert a force of over 2,000 pounds per square inch, a force so big that it can easily crush bones. Also, one of their specialties is the element of surprise. -on land, alligators can reach speeds up to 11 miles per hour, while in water, they are even faster, capable of short bursts of speed up to 20 miles per hour.
Incredible Yes, But Also Potentially Problematic
While it’s hard to not be amazed by what this man has been able to achieve – turning an apex predator into a cuddle buddy – we can’t deny that it’s potentially problematic.
Firstly, it might make people underestimate the danger of these animals (definitely don’t try this at home!) Secondly, the animal’s best interest should always be the number one priority – and aren’t wild animals meant to stay wild animals?
Man Trains Alligator to Cuddle: Wrapping Up
Although this absolutely shouldn’t be tried at home, we can admire these cuddly alligators from a distance. Apparently, with patience and respect you can achieve the things that most would assume to be impossible.
