In this video, Brittany just moved to a new house, she was feeling like she was being watched. This was true! It was Roxie the raccoon!
Language of Love
Firstly, I would never recommend feeding wildlife. You never want wild animals to become dependant. But the previous owners mentioned they feed the raccoon, so Roxie was already human adjusted.
Adorable Exhibitions
Every year Roxie had a new litter, she would come back to show off her new babies. Roxie showed them that Brittany was safe and not a threat. Then Brittany has a child of her own to show off to Roxie!
The Cute Stalker
Often Brittany would feel like she was being watched. She would look at the door or window to see this adorable face peering back at her.
Roxie
Roxie is truly one of the most wonder raccoons around. Her friendly nature and her want for human connection is so sweet – often coming to visit.
The Dog
It was interesting to see how Brittany’s dog found the situation. Being a great watch dog, this loyal canine was always watching at the window too – sometimes barking. I think her dog just wanted to say hello too.
Connection Between Mothers
Roxie’s daughter, named Penelope even came back with her daughter to show off to Brittany’s daughter. They connected in a profound display of maternal affection.
Communication Styles
Roxie would knock on the window to say hello, emphasizing the raccoon’s attempts to communicate. Calling for Brittany over to the window, to present her baby raccoons.
Adorable Moments
At one point, she even pressed her face against the glass, mirroring Brittany’s daughter’s curiosity, allowing the mothers and their babies to share a truly intimate moment.
Truly Unforgettable Memory
Brittany and her daughter were deeply moved by the experience. It reminds us of the powerful, instinctual bond that mothers can share with their babies. We are also reminded of the similarities we share with other animals – raccoons.
