Watch This Heartwarming Video of a Stray Dog Choosing His New Family

Bring the tissues! This heart-melting video tells the story of how a stray dog hopped into a family’s car and crawled his way into their hearts. 

The Chosen One

One evening Lena left her garage door open and saw something sneak past and jump into her car. To her surprise, it was a stray dog that hopped in and just stared timidly at her. All I can think is that this dog sensed a safe home and came to ask for help.

The First Night

She immediately brought the neglected stray some food, which he gulped up! Shame, they thought the poor fella had mange – a skin disease caused by mites burrowing into animals’ skin. Meaning that they had to keep him away from their other pets and children, for everyone’s safety. So, he slept in their garage that evening. The scared and defeated pup must have been so thankful for a warm and safe night’s rest! 

Trip to the Vet

The next day they went to the vet to get the stray dog checked out. Luckily, he did not have mange, but instead a very bad allergic reaction to the fleas that had been feasting on the little guy. It also looked like he had been fending for himself on the streets for many months, making the moment he jumped back into the car after the vet all the more cute. He has found a safe space. 

New Home

Within a week this once distraught pup, now called JD, started getting comfortable in his new home filled with love from his new family. He received medical baths every other day to help clear his skin allergy, played with both his new human and doggy siblings and felt safe and loved. 

The Power of Love

The video also shows us how a terrified JD, expresses his love for his new family. Just emphasizing how important it is to treat all animals with love, as it makes such a big difference in their lives. With all of his worries taken care of his playful personality got the space to shine through, and believe me it shines!

We have to thank JD’s wonderful new family, who took in a stray dog and gave him a safe and happy home. They created an environment where he can blossom and be exactly what he’s supposed to be – a happy dog! This story personally acts as a reminder of how precious all animal lives are and that a little love goes a long way.
