Nothing gives off more Golden Retriever energy, than well, a Goldie itself! Especially this adorable doggo who just wants to take a dip in the neighbor’s pool and won’t let any obstacle stand in his way!
Where’s Zep?
One morning Erin was looking for her Golden Retriever named Zeppole and didn’t have to look very far! She saw him swimming and having a blast in their neighbor’s pool. But how did he get there?
Caught Red-Handed
The next morning she kept a close eye on Zepp – and boy did she have a giggle! She saw her golden ball of fluff climb over the fence to their neighbor’s yard, where he excitedly got into the pool and started his day with a morning swim.

Staying Put
What’s even cute is that he refuses to get out of the pool when she calls him. He even swims away from her when she comes closer to fetch him, and if she finally grabs hold of his collar he refuses to budge – it’s just too much fun!
Nope, Still Not Leaving
On the odd occasion when Erin reaches the poolside before Zepp has jumped in, he runs away from her. Up the neighbor’s stairs and stares at their door, probably looking for someone to help him get into the pool.
Friendly Neighbors
Luckily, their neighbors are super friendly and adore Zeppole – so they welcome his 6 am morning swims! The only worry that Erin has is that he would wake them up with his loud splashes of joy.
This Fence Means Nothing
Whenever Zepp is left alone for more than 5 minutes, he quickly makes his way back to the pool. The neighbors also had a good giggle while filming the big goofball climbing over the fence!

The Start
The previous summer Zepp was still a puppy, and Erin took him over to the neighbor’s pool for some swimming lessons. And seems like he remembers having a great time because this summer it was impossible to get him out of the water.
Nice Try
In an attempt to keep Zepp on their side of the fence, Erin and her dad stacked a bunch of obstacles to make the fence unreachable. But he had other plans and made his way over to the pool without as much as a drop of sweat. Nothing and no one is keeping Zepp from playing in that pool it seems!
Happy Pup
But just look at the joy on Zepp’s face when he plays in the water! How can anyone resist saying no to him? Or let him go back home from the summer holiday without a final send-off? That’s right, no one.
Pool Party
The neighbors were just as excited to throw Zepp a final pool party and the planning started. Erin got a bunch of pool toys – balls, lilos, inflatables, whatever you can imagine and even invited some of Zepp’s doggo friends to join in the fun.
Happy Day
Zepp was so excited to WALK over to the pool instead of climbing the fence on the day of his pool party, and immediately hopped in! He had the absolute best day playing with all the pool toys and sharing the fun with his friends – I mean, just look at that happy face!

Until Next Summer
It is amazing to see how something as small as a pool, can bring so much joy to a pup. And even more so, everyone’s willingness to allow and share in Zepp’s love for the water. To many more happy swims!
