Kitten rescued from storm drain in New York
A tiny kitten plunged into a storm drain on Long Island, New York
Its cries for help were heard by the busy city folk hustling by
They did not hesitate to contact the right people for the job
Within a few minutes, Strong Island Animal Rescue was on the scene
They used a tool known as "the Jaws of Life" to open up the drain

The kitten was named Lawrence by the team of rescuers
It now finds itself in the caring hands of the Jefferson Animal Hospital
After recovering from its wounds, the kitten will be put up for adoption by a loving household
