It's believed that these dogs were bred from a combination of classic pugs and other breeds like French Bulldogs and English Bulldogs.
Retro Pugs exhibit a compact physique.
On average, they weigh 15 to 20 pounds and reach a height of 10 to 13 inches at the withers.
Retro Pugs come in a variety of coat colors, including black, fawn, silver, and apricot.
While they do shed, it's not as much as some other breeds, so they're a good choice for anyone with allergies or who doesn't want to deal with excessive shedding.
They love attention and thrive on human interaction, known for being great with kids and other pets.
That being said, they do have a stubborn streak.
Pocket Pugs or Teacup Pugs, are a smaller version of the traditional pug breed.
Due to their small size they're more prone to health issues, and they are also not officially recognized by major kennel clubs.
Frenchies tend to be less prone to respiratory issues.
On the other hand, they can be more stubborn and less obedient than pugs
