Halton regional police were alerted at approximately 6:15 AM on Wednesday. They received a report of bee crates dislodging from a truck and scattering onto a road in Burlington, Ontario
“Crates were literally on the road and swarms of bees were flying around, the initial beekeeper that was on scene was apparently stung a few times.”
In response to the scene, authorities advised motorists to keep their windows closed when driving through the area. They also urged pedestrians to steer clear
They deliberately left a few crates behind, allowing the remaining bees to return to them naturally
