Home to the Angolan giraffe, not only is the location beautiful, but also, the population of giraffes within this region of Africa has nearly doubled over the last couple of decades due to conservation efforts undertaken in Namibia. The best time of year to see the giraffes is May - December.

There are herds of Masai giraffes roaming around the grasslands. There are an estimated 32,550 Masai giraffe in the wild and the best time to visit is July - October.
Many herds of Maasai giraffes can be seen roaming around the Serengeti with the best place to find the giraffe in Northern Serengeti because this area of the park is mainly grasslands where the giraffes thrive.
Whilst it is not a safari destination, the Giraffe Manor in Kenya has become very popular. Here, you can find the the Rothschild giraffe on 56 hectares of land. Don't be shy as you get up and personal with giraffes!
