The Sendaviva Park has two newborn white tiger cubs and they have finally been named – Zuri and Tristán. These names were chosen from over 2,000 proposals sent in by enthusiastic visitors. At two months old, these cubs are already active and charming everyone around them. Here’s more about these remarkable additions to the park.

Early Days

Zuri and Tristán, born from the park’s resident white tiger couple, came into the world weighing about one kilo each. In just two months, they’ve grown significantly, now weighing eleven and nine and a half kilos respectively. These little tigers have quickly adapted to their surroundings, exploring and playing under the watchful eye of their mother.

Naming Contest

The park encouraged visitors to participate in a social media contest. Thus dictating the name of these two adorable cubs. The response was overwhelming, with more than 2,000 proposals pouring in. After careful consideration, the names Zuri and Tristán were selected, reflecting the unique charm and strength of these cubs.

A Rare Sight

White tigers are rare creatures. Evidently with less than 300 in captivity worldwide, the birth of Zuri and Tristán is significant. These cubs are a symbol of hope for the conservation of their species, and their presence at Sendaviva brings attention to the plight of white tigers in the wild.
