Dolphins and Their Intelligence
Dolphins are widely recognized for their high intelligence – which is no wonder; their brain is 5 times bigger than it “should” be for an animal their size! These marine mammals possess complex problem-solving skills, social sophistication, and even self-awareness.
They can learn sign language, use their whistles for animal-human communication, and even recognize themselves in a mirror.
The Story
A diver encounters a curious wild dolphin. During their encounter, the diver takes off one of his fins to adjust his sock, and the dolphin is completely fascinated by this man-made thing. The next day, the diver encounters the same dolphin, and this time, it comes bearing a gift!
