Once Upon A Time…

It all began when the woman stumbled upon what she believed to be a stray kitten. The little baby seemed to have been abandoned, so the woman picked up the cute little feline and brought them home.
How was she to know the little body was no domestic cat – it was a baby panther.

Facts about Kittens

Kittens are fascinating little creatures that bring joy and energy into any home. Here are five interesting facts about kittens that highlight their unique characteristics and behaviors.
Kittens Are Born with Closed Eyes and Ears

Kittens are born both blind and deaf, with their eyes and ears sealed shut. It takes about 7 to 10 days for their eyes to open and around two weeks for their ears to start functioning.
Kittens Have a Strong Sense of Smell

While they can’t see or hear initially, kittens have a highly developed sense of smell from birth. This sense helps them locate their mother and their mother’s milk, ensuring they get the nourishment they need to grow.
Kittens Purr to Communicate and Heal

Kittens start purring when they are a few days old as a way to communicate with their mother. Purring also has a soothing effect and can promote healing in their own bodies, as well as in humans who hear it.
Kittens Are Rapid Learners

Between two to seven weeks of age, kittens go through a critical learning phase. During this time, they are highly impressionable and learn important behaviors from their mother and siblings, such as grooming, playing, and hunting.
Kittens Have Retractable Claws

Unlike many other animals, kittens (and cats) have retractable claws. This means they can extend their claws when they need to climb or defend themselves and retract them to keep them sharp and avoid injury when not in use.

I DON'T USUALLY HAVE THE TIME OR THE INCLINATION TO LOOK AT ARTICLES OF THIS TYPE. SO MANY TIMES I AM DISAPPOINTED BY THE FACTS PRESENTED, KNOWING OR DISCOVERING THAT MUCH OF IT IS DECEPTIVE. I WAS CAPTIVATED BY THE VIDEO OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CAT. THOSE HYPNOTIC IMAGES GAVE PLEASURE TO MY EYES, MY SENSES, AND MIND. THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS PART OF YOUR LIFE. IT IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL WHAT THIS WOMAN HAD DONE. SHE IS QUITE GENEROUS SHARING THIS SPECIAL FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD. I THOUGHT ABOUT THE CONCERN FOR SAFETY AROUND THIS WILD ANIMAL. BUT AFTER THINKING IT THROUGH I REALIZED THE CAT THROUGH IMPRINTING HAS A PARENT/CHILD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE WOMAN. WHAT IS ALSO CLEAR IS THAT BECAUSE THEY WERE INTRODUCED SO VERY EARLY THE DOG IS ACCEPTED LIKE A PSEUDO LITTERMATE/SIBLING. THE WHOLE SITUATION IS EXTRAORDINARY. THE ARTICLE INCLUDED THE QUESTION WEATHER THE THREE WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE AS THEY ARE NOW. OH MY GOD THEY HAVE TO. I CRIED AT THIS QUESTION. ALL THREE ARE THRIVING AS THEY ARE. SO THE MUST CARRY ON, THEY MUST.
