In the crystal clear, shallow waters of the Bahamas there are many encounters with dolphins; mostly the mammals are found near Bimini, Grand Bahama and in many hidden bays known only to the tour guides.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is at the top of the list for many divers for good reason. In addition to whales, sharks and other large marine animals, dolphins are often sighted here from boats and while diving.
The bottlenose dolphins can often be seen in and around Mauritius and you will probably meet them on your trip. They are grey and can reach a length of 2-4 metres and a weight of 150 to 650 kg.
