Amazingly, someone on board managed to film the whole thing!

This encounter starts off with a bit of a standoff between the truck and an elephant.

The elephant starts by taking a step or two closer and uses their trunk to blow up sand off the ground.

It is attempting to show its dominance.

Bam! The driver slams his car door loudly, in an attempt to make a large sound.

Who do you think is more intimidated?

Bull elephants go through musth, this influences their behaviour significantly.

The males get a lot more aggressive at this time!

You can tell visually when occurs as on the sides of their heads, it looks like fluid being released.
