With males weighing anywhere from 130 to 660 pounds and females usually weighing between 90 and 300 pounds.

Their size and weight can vary greatly depending on their region and  food availability, with individuals living in areas with abundant food  sources growing larger than those with fewer resources.

Omnivorous, will eat just about anything they get their paws on

The most noticeable characteristic of the North American Black Bear is  its dark fur, which can range from jet black to light brownish-gray.
