Although all Golden Retriever dogs are golden in color, there is a wide range of tones within the breed.
Their perpetual puppy appearance results from their long, floppy ears and lively disposition.
Goldens have a double coat: an outer coat resistant to water, and a softer undercoat that helps maintain a constant temperature regardless of season.
When cared for properly, a Golden Retriever should only need an occasional bath.
They are quite adaptable and able to flourish in a wide variety of temperatures and settings.
Goldens prefer milder climates but are versatile enough to survive in colder ones.
There is no easier dog to train than the Golden Retriever because of its intelligence, eagerness to learn, and low level of distraction
Wet food is typically healthier for the dog’s digestive system.
A high concentration of carbohydrates is necessary for active retrievers, whereas a moderate dosage is sufficient for less active retrievers.
They are gentle and patient and love to please their owners, making them great with children and other pets.
Golden Retrievers are incredibly friendly and loyal, making them great family pets.
If you're ready for the responsibility that a dog entails, a Golden Retriever will be a great addition to your family.
