A scene off the California coast that left two kayakers with a story they’ll never forget. While enjoying a peaceful morning on the water, they found themselves in the path of a massive humpback whale, which breached the surface mere feet away as it lunged to feed. In a jaw-dropping near miss, the whale’s open mouth came frighteningly close to engulfing the kayakers along with the school of fish it was chasing, leaving them stunned but thankfully unharmed. The sheer size and sudden appearance of the whale turned what had been a calm kayak trip into an adrenaline-fueled, heart-pounding moment.
