Pride of Lions United In Front of a Waterhole! Amazing Rare Sighting

On the sand of the Sabie River, as the warm sun comes up, the lions moved calmly as if it was their peaceful meeting. The mentioned area is just 4 km drive from Lower Sabie to Skukuza Camp in the Kruger National park. Just beside the bank, the lions lay still as sleep, making no movement, and drinking water.

With the break of dawn, a new chapter began. The lions, previously at rest, stirred and set their sights on a vital resource: water.

Slowly and silently, the royal lions moved closer to a bright reflecting surface of water on the ground. Their coming at the beginning was very scant and as the time went by, there were a total of 20 lions!

Youngsters of the pride are naturally the most excited and naive cubs start running to join in. They imitate the elders, adopting the various techniques or ways by which one can survive.

Altogether, they drink, this scene of the show is a tender, melancholic moment, which is probably the viewers as well as characters’ desire to empathize with each other.

In lion’s social structure, lionesses are key components of the pride and constituting the female members of the group. It is also important to note that their duties go beyond that of caretakers: they are experienced hunters and gatherers and defenders.

It represents one method with which each hare has to find its own food rations while at the same time ensuring the survival of the group.
