Orcas, also known as killer whales, are one of the ocean’s most impressive and intelligent predators. Known for their striking black-and-white appearance and remarkable hunting prowess, orcas live in tight-knit family groups called pods. Despite their nickname, orcas are not whales; they belong to the dolphin family and are the largest of the dolphin species. As apex predators, they have no natural enemies and exhibit a wide range of sophisticated hunting strategies that showcase their intelligence and social cooperation.
