Allison Prater, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, noted the anomaly: “If the region reaches 90 degrees this weekend, it would be significantly earlier than usual… the benchmark’s historical average is April 18.”[2] Areas beyond Dallas-Fort Worth, including Waco, Killeen, Sherman, and Denison, face similar surges up to 95 degrees.
