Senior Chihuahua Tells Her Family When It’s Time For Bed

Daisy is small, but she runs the house. She knows the schedule and sticks to it. When bedtime comes, she lets everyone know. No arguments. If the family stays up too late, she reminds them. If it’s early, she still insists. Daisy is old and set in her ways. The family follows her lead.

The Nightly Routine

Daisy’s bedtime starts early. At 5:50 p.m., she’s ready. She gets a lift up the stairs because her legs don’t work like they used to. She waits as her humans tuck her in. Clothes off, blanket ready. Then, the treat. She likes her treat popped just right. Once she’s settled, everyone else follows. Daisy has spoken.

Midnight Wake-Up Calls

The night isn’t always peaceful. At 2 a.m., Daisy wakes up. She nudges her dad awake. It’s potty time. No delays. Outside she goes, does her business, then comes back in. A quick drink, then back to bed. No complaints, just routine. She controls the night as much as she does the day. The family adjusts to her needs.

Morning Walks, Daisy Style

Mornings start slow. Daisy likes walks, but not right away. Her dad carries her for a block. She needs to wake up first. Then, she walks. Not too far, just enough. She decides when it’s time to go home. The leash is just for show. Daisy walks when she wants and stops when she’s done. Everyone listens.

The Dog She Never Wanted

Daisy wasn’t planned. She wasn’t expected. But she became family. The little dog that changed everything. She taught them patience, love, and routine. She’s old now, but still in charge. A shirt was made with Daisy’s face on it. A reminder of the love that grew unexpectedly. Daisy is small, but she leaves a big mark.

A Life Well Lived

Daisy moves slower now, but she’s still the boss. She tells the family when it’s time to sleep, wake up, and walk. They follow because they love her. She has shaped their lives in ways they never expected. A little dog with a big heart. She might be old, but her spirit is strong. And the family listens.
