This 8-year-old dog had been chained up his entire life, out in the mountains of Brazil. After the passing of her owner, she was left alone and uncared for. The owner’s son was meant to look after her but claimed he did not want that responsibility. He put someone else in charge of giving her food and water but it was evident that this had not happened.
A Call For Compassion
A couple went up to a nearby hotel for their anniversary. They noticed the small kennel and knew they had to investigate. After speaking to the hotel owner they found out the traumatic story of this poor girl’s life. The woman instantly told her husband that they were taking her. This dog had been alone for a long time, as she was terrified and cowered away in her tiny kennel.
A Journey To Safety
The dog didn’t struggle when being taken away by the couple. Part of her knew that this was a good thing. The woman’s heart was shattered seeing the sad look in the dog’s eyes. She was determined to help her. Taking her home with them the first step was to get her some proper food and water. They promised her a better life, a life of love and care.
The Promise of a Better Life
With 12 other dogs and around 30 cats, the couple were clear animal lovers. The growth of their new addition to the family was a delight to see. She grew a wonderful and loving connection with her sibling and soon warmed up to her new parents. With a lot of TLC she had the chance of a new life, she was allowed to be a dog again. From their first meeting, the couple knew that they were keeping her. They knew that this sweet girl was going to grow and find happiness in her new forever home.
