A Rough Start for a Precious Python

When the distressed python was first found, it seemed like she had been discarded like trash in a dumpster. Her body was infested with numerous ticks. This is a clear sign of neglect and the toll it had taken on her health. To make matters worse, her skin showed signs of shedding, a painful process that had likely been ignored for far too long.
Turn For The Better

A bunch of kind-hearted people made the decision to act. Thus saving the python from her horrible predicament. Even though they were aware that this snake would not have an easy recovery, they were committed to giving it a better chance at life. They started to clean her up and tend to her medical needs with tender care.
Rehab Central

The first step in the python’s rehabilitation journey was the painstaking removal of the ticks that had infested her body. The team began by gently soaking her in water, as they were uncertain when she had last had a drink.

Clearly appreciative of their efforts, the python was showing signs of relief as she enjoyed the soothing warmth of the water. These moments of comfort were a stark contrast to the distress she had experienced for so long.
The Rescue Operation

After the initial soak, the next challenge was removing the ticks from her body. Astonishingly, they found ticks under every single scale. Thus making the situation even more dire than they had initially realized.

With the utmost care, they removed a staggering 110 ticks! Image the tedious work that went into that procedure. It is a true testament to the sheer magnitude of neglect this python had endured.

The python recovering well. The team’s efforts were rewarded and they were all happy with the progress. Moreover they discovered that she is female. Evidently this discovery was met with joy as well as a glimmer of hope for the future of the python.
A Home and Proper Care

After the ticks were securely removed, the python was brought to a vet for additional evaluation and treatment. Her body had suffered a great deal, but she was already beginning to feel better and happier.

Her shedding skin was a positive sign of her overall well-being, and her demeanor became increasingly joyful as she received the care she so desperately needed.

In just a short span of time, this remarkable python had been given a second chance at life. The transformation from a snake covered in ticks and left to suffer in a dumpster to a snake on the path to recovery was nothing short of astounding.
