When Rhoda Meek noticed a tiny lamb with a bent neck and an uncertain gait, she didn’t know if the little one would survive. But through love, patience, and a bit of online magic, this wobbly lamb—now affectionately named Wonky—has become an unexpected internet sensation.

Wonky was born on the Isle of Tiree, a remote Scottish island known for its open landscapes and strong community spirit. Her arrival was anything but ordinary. Likely squashed in the womb by her much larger twin brother, Wonky came into the world with a bent neck and a shaky walk. Rhoda, who owns the croft where she was born, immediately knew the little lamb would need help. Feeding her by tube and gently working with her day by day, Rhoda helped Wonky learn to stand and eventually nurse from her mother. Slowly but surely, the lamb began to thrive.
An Unexpected Star is Born

What started as a few updates on Rhoda’s social media quickly turned into a viral story. With her quirky posture, bobbling head, and determined spirit, Wonky captured hearts around the world. People fell in love with her wonky charm and resilient attitude.
Rhoda’s updates offered not just a look into life on the croft, but a heartfelt reminder of how even the smallest animals can inspire joy and hope.
Still Wonky—But Thriving

Though she’s still got a little wobble, Wonky’s progress has been nothing short of amazing. Her neck has started to straighten out, her walk is steadier, and she’s now out exploring the fields with her fellow lambs.
From needing tube feeding to frolicking in the grass, her transformation has been a journey of persistence and care—and a reminder that strength can come in the most unexpected forms.
A Bond Beyond the Flock

Rhoda didn’t just nurse Wonky back to health—she gave her a chance to be part of the flock. The connection between them goes beyond animal care; it’s rooted in compassion. Rhoda never planned to raise an online star, but her belief in Wonky’s potential brought out the best in both of them.
And to Wonky, Rhoda isn’t just the crofter who saved her. She’s her person.
The Joy of Sharing the Small Things

For Rhoda, Wonky’s story is about more than just one lamb. It’s about sharing the ordinary miracles of farm life and finding joy in imperfection. The world didn’t fall in love with a perfect animal—it fell in love with one that was different, determined, and deeply loved.
Wonky’s Legacy

Today, Wonky lives up to her name in the best way. She’s still got a little tilt in her head, but it only adds to her charm. Whether she’s stumbling through a field or starring in a new video, she continues to delight followers from around the world. Her story is proof that sometimes the underdog—or in this case, underlamb—wins hearts not despite their struggles, but because of them. And for Rhoda, that wobbly little lamb has become more than just part of the flock. She’s family.
