It was all about anticipation and finding the best possible position, and that was exactly what happened. It all started when guide Almero and one of his guests discussed a plan. They decided to risk going ahead of the pride in the hope of meeting them head-on. Risk versus reward is always tricky, but when it works out, it’s very special. That is what happened on this exciting morning!

Perfectly positioned, the Monwana pride decided to playfully climb a fallen Marula tree. This behavior is common in young lions as they push their limits to gain the necessary skills to become predators.
