Coyotes have a thick, dense fur coat that varies in color from grayish-brown to reddish-brown.
Their fur has a blend of colors. This provides camouflage in their natural habitat.
During winter months, their fur may become more grizzled or pale. Their coats adapt to seasonal changes, such as in snowy environments.

Size and Build

Coyotes are medium-sized canines. On average, they weigh between 15 to 46 pounds (7 to 21 kilograms).
They have a slender, agile build. This is well-suited for hunting.
Adult coyotes typically measure around 32 to 37 inches (81 to 94 centimeters) in length, excluding the bushy tail, which can add an additional 16 to 20 inches (41 to 51 centimeters).

Facial Features and Ears

Coyotes have a narrow muzzle, pointed ears, and yellow eyes.
Their ears are proportionally large. This features gives them exceptional hearing abilities. Which then help them detect prey and predators.
The ears can be rotated independently. This helps them to pinpoint sounds accurately!Their ears are overall crucial for hunting and communication within their groups.
