Have you ever wondered what the most searched for animals are in Florida? I was pretty curious myself. So let’s jump right in together!

#1 Manatee

Manatees (Trichechus), also known as sea cows, are gentle marine mammals that inhabit the waters of Florida, particularly in the warm springs of Crystal River and Blue Spring State Park. People often search for information on manatees to learn about their habitat, behavior, and conservation status.

American alligators (Alligator mississippiensis) are apex predators found throughout Florida’s freshwater habitats, including swamps, lakes, and rivers. Florida black bears (Ursus americanus floridanus) are a subspecies of black bear and can be found, obviously, throughout Florida, but also in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. They are the second largest animal residing in this state, after the bison, and can weigh a whopping 300 pounds (140 kg).
