Three-Legged Stray Cat Survives 9 Winters Before Finding His Forever Home

A three-legged stray cat entered a man’s kitchen years ago in need of some love. The cat and a kind man became incredible friends as a result of this unplanned visit.

The Start of Something Special

The cat started visiting the guy’s home more frequently and playing with Seson, the man’s cat. The stray kept coming by long after Seson died. Though he was cautious of people, he felt comfortable with Boyd. Boyd won the cat over gradually by his generosity in providing food and affection.

Finding Comfort

Boyd gave the stray the name Bubby. The longer time went by, the more at home Bubby felt. He settled on a favorite chair, comfortable places to nap, and even relished cuddling up to Boyd on the couch. Despite his love of Boyd and his new home, Bubby still treasured his independence and went outside frequently.

A Heartbreaking Goodbye

When Bubby got back to the house after Boyd died, he could feel his friend was gone. He quit coming, even though Boyd’s family was setting out food for him. Many assumed the worst when Bubby vanished from sight for two years.

An Unexpected Reunion

Then Bubby was seen by neighbor Ray one day. He seemed older and more fragile. Ray chose to lend a hand and tried to find him for several months. Eventually, Ray was successful, and he worked with Boyd’s new housemate to take care of Bubby. The woman told Ray Bubby was inside the very following day.

A Happy Ending

Ray ran to take Bubby to the veterinarian. Despite his poor health, Bubby got the attention he needed. When Bubby first met Sarah at the shelter, she clicked with him right away and chose to adopt him. They bonded immediately and haven’t been apart since. Sarah makes people happy by posting about their travels on social media.
