In a moment that looked like a rodeo broke loose inside a big-box store, four men who call themselves the “Cutthroat Cowboys” rode actual horses through a Walmart in Baker, Louisiana. Someone filmed them — because they trot down the aisles, past confused shoppers, and through the checkout area like they were making a pit stop on the trail.
The footage, complete with country music blasting in the background, quickly went viral. One horse even left a little “gift” behind — an unwelcome reminder that this wasn’t exactly part of Walmart’s usual cleanup routine.
Although some saw it as a harmless stunt, law enforcement didn’t share the joke. Walmart staff called the police, and officers quickly issued arrest warrants.
Emotional Support Animal… Really?

Eighteen-year-old Mason Webb, one of the self-styled cowboys, told reporters he meant no harm. “It was just for fun,” he said, claiming his horse was an emotional support animal.
Local police didn’t buy it.
Webb and a juvenile voluntarily turned themselves in after the video made the rounds online. The other two riders, Brendon Bridgwater (24) and Patrick Derozan (22), surrendered a few days later.
Police charged all four with unlawful entry, disturbing the peace, and criminal activity posting — a Louisiana law that targets people who commit crimes for the sake of internet fame.
Not Their First Rodeo?

The Cutthroat Cowboys aren’t exactly new to public stunts. They’ve already posted videos of horseback rides through drive-thrus and even small shops. But their Walmart rodeo earned them the most attention — and trouble — to date.
The horses handled it like pros, but the same can’t be said for Walmart employees, who had to clean up after their unexpected guests.
Locals Weigh In
Public opinion split evenly. Some dismissed it as “classic Louisiana nonsense, ” while others warned about the risks—not just for shoppers but also for animals.
“These stores aren’t built for hooves,” one local said. “If one of those horses slipped on the tile, someone could’ve gotten seriously hurt.”
The Baker Police Department reminded residents that viral fame doesn’t cancel out criminal charges, especially when you drag innocent animals into the mix.
