Whether in forests or gardens, birch trees are a beautiful autumn highlight. These are the kind of trees I imagine when I think of a magical forest or fantastical land.

Sweetgum trees show off a mix of red, orange, and purple shades during autumn. Not only that, but their star-shaped leaves create a unique visual texture that draws attention. These trees are a wonderful blend of vibrant colors that shift throughout the season. However, I must admit they can be a pain if you accidentally step on a fallen spike ball!

Dogwood trees are often associated with spring, but they shine just as brightly in fall. This is because their leaves turn a rich red, adding a splash of color to any landscape. Additionally, the berries they produce provide a charming touch, attracting birds and wildlife.

We used to have one in my backyard, and it was always a beautiful tree.

Beech trees provide a soft, golden-brown hue that brightens up woodlands in autumn. Their smooth, gray trunks offer a striking contrast to the colorful leaves. Also, beech trees hold onto their leaves longer, making the fall display last just a little while more.

Bald cypress trees bring a warm, rusty-orange color to wetlands and riverbanks. These unique conifers drop their feathery leaves in autumn, creating a soft, picturesque scene. I think their reflection in the water adds to their autumn beauty, like something Bob Ross would paint.
