A Tale of Survival

The lioness and her sister have faced a life of hardship and tragedy. They were born into a pride with three fathers, three mothers, and four siblings. However, their family was decimated by rival lions and illness, leaving only one father alive. After being dethroned, this father left the area, occasionally risking his life to visit his daughters.

Left alone at a young age, the lionesses had to fend for themselves. They had to learn how to hunt and survive, hoping to reach age four, when they could mate and rebuild their pride.

The Clash of Titans

The size difference between a lioness and a leopard is quite significant. Lionesses tend to be roughly twice the size of leopard toms on average. Even a particularly small lioness weighs at least 80 kg at maturity, while the largest lioness recorded in the wild weighed an impressive 186 kg.

This size difference, however, does not deter the male leopard. In the wild, survival is the only thing that matters, and sometimes, that means taking on opponents larger than oneself.
