Say HI 🔆 to @ktbruno and her colourful friends the RAINBOW 🌈 Lorikeets🦜 ⠀ Do you know the Lorikeet? 👀 It is a bird well known in Australia. 🇳🇿🦘🐨#lorikeets 🌿#lorikeetsofaustralia ⠀ In the dry scrub of southern Australia, 🏜 breathtakingly colourful purple-crowned lorikeets 🏳️‍🌈 gather in small nomadic flocks to eat fruit, 🍉🍓🍊🍋🍐 pollinating the flowering mallee in the process. #lorikeetsofinstagram ⠀ Colonies of these lorikeets nest in tree holes. #lorikeetlove 🌳 Though both members of a pair may roost in the unlined hollow, only the female incubates the two or three eggs. 🥚🐾 ⠀ This picture 📸 was taken at the @currumbinsanctuary #wildlifesanctuary It is passionate about conservation ⚠️ 🌏 and preserving our wildlife for future generations to enjoy. 💥 The Sanctuary participates in 16 conservation projects 🌱 to help save some of these amazing species from extinction including endangered australian animals. 🦜 #rainbowanimals ⠀ For more, follow @animalsaroundtheglobe_official #animalsaroundtheglobe #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsinthewild
@dean.schneider and his LION PRIDE 🦁 live together in South Africa 🇿🇦 His main objective is to spread love for these majestic 👑 animals as well as others. We love what he does ❤️ as also our goal is to strengthen 💪 the bond between humans and other species through excitement. Take a look 👀 at his profile 🤗 #lionlove #lionorder #southafrica🇿🇦 #south_africa What is a lion pride?🤓 While other big cats 🐱 choose to live alone, lions are very sociable ✌️animals and live together in a family group called a pride 🤴 A pride usually has about 13 lions 🦁 in it, but there can be as many as 30; mums, dads, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins, all living together. 💚💛 They don’t stay together all of the time together though. #lionfamily #lionlover Often individual lions or small groups spend days 📅 away from the pride, particularly when looking for food 🥘 or water 💦 #foodsearch #southafricanfood #southafricatravel #lionspride Although they can be fierce 😤towards lions they don’t know, pride members are very playful 😼and affectionate together. They say hello by rubbing heads and licking 👅 ; just like we hug and kiss 😚 the members of our own family. Male lions rub so hard, they sometimes knock each other over! 😮 #animalencounter #animalloversunite #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe
WOW look 👀at the bond between our friend the stingray 🤩and @lisa.krauely! 🌊 on the #caymanislands🌴 Thanks to @danhlegend for the picture 🌅!! What actually are rays? 🤓 #loveocean #sealover🌊 Rays and skates are flattened fish closely related to sharks. All belong to a group of fish called Elasmobranchs. These guys are pretty unique as they have no #bonestructure 🦴in their body – their skeleton is made up of flexible cartilage (the bendy stuff that your ears 👂 and nose 👃🏼 are made from!). Although they look near identical, rays and skates are actually different. Stingrays are ovoviviparous, meaning the young are #hatched 🐣 from eggs 🥚 that are held within the body, whereas skates are oviparous, meaning they lay eggs – these 🥚 are protected by a hard, rectangular case 💼 often called a “mermaid”s purse“! There are many different 🤗types of ray including stingrays, electric rays, butterfly rays, round rays, manta rays, guitarfish and #sawfish #caymanisland #caymangts #visitcayman #caymanbrac How do stingrays search for food 🥘? #searchingforlove Stingrays use a super set of senses to search for food. Special gel-filled pits across the front of their face 😸allow them to pick up #electricallife signals from other animals when they move – cool ✌️ #animalencounter #animalloversunite #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe
ORANGUTANS 🦧 have the ability to learn 📖 sign language and even to make tools 🛠 🤩 In the first picture our friend Orra the orangutan observes our #humanfriends Thanks to @orangutan_trekking for these amazing pictures 💚💛 #orangutans are considered one ☝️ of the world's smartest 🤓primates. Orangutans in #borneoisland even begin to craft umbrellas ☔️ from leaves 🍁 when they know rain is coming! #monkeylover #primatesofinstagram #borneotrip #visitborneo #indonesiawildlifephotography Sadly, the orangutans in #bohorok are struggling to survive in the wake of massive deforestation 🌳 🪓 😔 . In addition, illegal pet trade threatens 🚫the species. RHINOS 🦏 belong to the ‘OLD ONES’ on our planet 🌍 let’s help #rhinoconservation 😊such as the @olpejeta 🥰 ☀️ thanks @amivitale for this amazing pic!! #rhinoafrica #kenyasafari Just like elephants 🐘 and hippos 🦛 they are the surviving representatives of a group of animals that was once very species-rich 👍👍 and diverse: the megaherbivores, or large herbivores. 🧐 ARE RHINOS ENDANGERED?? #rhinolove #rhinosofinstagram #stoppoachers #stoppoachingrhinos 🚫🛑 Unfortunately, for 100 grams of the rare horn 🦏 you get 6000 US 💴 dollars. An average horn weighing three kilos brings in 180,000 US dollars. This makes the keratin horn more expensive than gold ‼️💰💸‼️A lucrative business for poachers and smugglers. #seekenya #kenyanphotographer The scary 😱 thing is that in my lifetime, 95 percent 🚨of the world’s rhinos have been killed. #markcarwardine Let’s spread our excitement 🤩 for rhinos around the globe 🗺 and help at least the last populations 😔of rhinos are going to survive. 💪 Follow the below link to get a sneak peak showing a map where rhinos live on our planet 🌍 and how they are living! 🦏❤️ 🦏❤️ #animalencounter #animalloversunite #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe
ONE of the most PRECIOUS 💎 places on our planet 🌎 hundreds of #hammerheadsharks 🔨🦈 come together at 🏝 @bahamas #bahamas🌴 Thanks @caymanjason for this amazing picture!! 📸 ⠀ How do we protect 👍😊the Bahamas #hammerheadshark ? One way they're doing it is by searching 🔎 for where hammerhead sharks have their #sharkbaby 👶(called pups). Past studies have documented where and why some of the region's hammerhead populations migrate, but scientists👩‍🔬 👨‍🔬 have been struggling with one mystery—where the females that live around the Bahamas's Islands 🌴 go to have their pups. Islands have some of the world's highest concentrations of sharks 🦈 meaning the pregnant females that live there contribute to the population of the species overall. ⠀ Why is it important to protect #sharks🦈 ? #lovesharks ⠀ According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, the scalloped hammerhead species in and around the Bahamas 🏝 is endangered. ‼️The species falls prey to the lucrative shark fin trade, and many end up killed 📛📛as unwanted bycatch by fishermen.⚠ 🎣 ⠀ #sharkprotection #animalencounter #animalloversunite #sharkdive #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe

EVEN though the WILDFIRES 🔥 have ended 💧 there is still a lot of work to be done. 🤚 ⠀ At @thekangaroosanctuary hurt kangaroos 🦘 were taken into care 👩‍⚕ and are released back into the #wildernesslife once they’ve gained their strength 💪 back. Thanks @nata_96srb for this great picture with our #kangoroo friend! 👬 Did you know that #kangaroos give hugs 🤗? ⠀ Abigail (also known as Abi) arrived at #australia🇦🇺 @thekangaroosanctuary in #alicesprings when she was just 5 months old. 👶 She was rescued as an orphan after she was found “quite busted up with cuts and scrapes,” according to one of her #caretakers 🥰Chris “Brolga” Barns, who also said that she is the “only kangaroo who comes up and gives a great big rugby tackle cuddle.” 😊 ⠀ Abi was so grateful 🙏 to her rescuers for taking her in and caring for her that she started giving them #dailyhugs 😁☺ ⠀ #animalencounter #animalloversunite #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe
COULD YOU 👆tell the DIFFERENCE between an #alligator🐊 and a #crocodile🐊 while FACING 👀 it like @italiansharkman ? 🤘😬 ⠀ The most obvious difference comes from their appearances. Crocodiles have longer, pointier snouts; 👃🏼 alligators have shorter, more rounded snouts. When an alligator has its mouth 👄 shut, you won’t see any of its 🦷 ⠀ In contrast, 💥 when a crocodile has its mouth shut, its back teeth stick up over the top lip, showing off a toothy grin. ✨ Because they are broader, alligator snouts are stronger than crocodile snouts, which allow them to crush hard shelled prey such as turtles. 🌎 ⠀ Crocodiles are typically lighter in color, 🌿with tans and brown colors; 🍂alligators are darker, showing more gray and black colors. 🐲 ⠀ #evergladesnationalpark ⠀ Do they have different skills?🌳 Both members have an extremely heightened sense, which makes them excellent hunters. 🔫 With sharp, above-water vision, night vision, 🧿🧿sensitive hearing, and vertical pupils that take in additional light, both alligators and crocodiles 🐊 are a nightmare for their prey. ⚡️ ⠀ And, with above-water vision💦, you can expect to see them peeping their eyes 🩸up during an #evergladesboats tour.🛶 ⠀ ⠀ #animalencounter #animalloversunite #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe
@mr.pokee #thehedgehog 🦔 is on constant ADVENTURES 🏔 with its human friend! 💛💚🧡❤️ ⠀ How can a hedgehog be held? 🤔 They can be only if they #feelrelaxed 😌 with you! #áustria #europeanadventures ⠀ When a hedgehog is calm, their quills are in a relaxed position. It is at this time that a hedgehog can be held without worrying about the sharp 🔪 quills. The quills tend to lay down flat along the back and sides of the hedgehog, all pointing towards their rear end, so as long as you don't push against the sharp tips of the quills they pose #noproblemfg or chance of being #poked . 👌😊 ⠀ What are hedgehogs 🦔 doing in winter ❄️? They hibernate 💤!! #hibernationmode ⠀ During hibernation, the body temperature of a hedgehog can decrease to about 2 °C (36 °F). When the animal awakes ☀️ from hibernation 😴 the body temperature rises from 2–5 °C (36–41 °F) back to its normal 30–35 °C (86–95 °F) body temperature 🙏 ⠀ #animalencounter #animalloversunite #animalsaroundtheworld #animalsaroundtheglobe
